Skills International is a not for profit project focused on highlighting and connecting qualified and work ready internationally educated professionals (IEPs) with employers across Ontario by using the latest technology to deliver an end-to-end integrated solution.
It is a collaborative project that has received funding from The Ontario Trillium Foundation and involves WIL Employment Connections in London, the Waterloo Region District School Board and COSTI Immigrant Services in Toronto.
This skillsinternational.ca website is the first of its kind in Canada, and is partnering with agencies across Ontario that work with new Canadians to provide employment preparation programs. These agencies will post the resumes of prescreened and qualified applicants ready to work in a field related to their education and experience.
Employers will be able to post positions on the website and have the system automatically match and rank the available candidates that best fit the position. Additional functionality to allow employers to save a "skills criteria" profile, and have the system automatically process all new resumes against this profile. If a match is found, employers will receive an immediate notification by email of new candidate that has met their specific skills criteria profile.
